Meet Mr. ReWind—your trusty tour guide through the neon-soaked, cassette-spinning, Saturday-morning-cartoon-watching glory days of the 80s and 90s (with the occasional pit stop in the late 70s and early 00s).
The Retro Retake started in February 2023 with one simple mission: share those “OMG, remember that?!” In just a few months, our little rewind project went from a handful of followers to a full-on retro-loving community of thousands. Clearly, nostalgia never goes out of style. We’re here to celebrate the pop culture that made growing up unforgettable.
From the mall food courts and roller rinks to the commercials that got burned into our brains, The Retro Retake brings back the moments that made growing up totally awesome. We celebrate the music, fashion, fads, and quirks of the 80s and 90s—the stuff that made you who you are today (whether you admit it or not). This blog is an extension of our social media pages—a place to dive deeper into some of the throwbacks, trivia, and pop culture gems we share there, giving them the extra spotlight they deserve.

Behind the scenes is a lifelong pop culture junkie (a totally rad chick not a VHS tape lol) who grew up in the thick of the 80s and 90s—Saturday morning cartoons, mall arcades, and all. With a soft spot for vintage toys, commercials and the occasional questionable snack, I created this space to share the nostalgia I love with fellow retro fans.
